Use in Caving

The SubPos Node has been designed to provide a low power beacon source that is easy to configure and deploy. An additional feature of such a device in areas where mapping out exact positioning might be difficult or take some time, is to use them like breadcrumbs. While they may not be able to provide accurate positioning, they can be used to tag rooms or areas and can be combined with topological maps (approximate placement) to provide course positioning data.

When this mode is desired, use the application ID of 0x3 (3).

Please note this functionality is not yet enabled in the Android API.
